Willow Farm

Framed by the wetlands

Located at the easternmost end of Rakaia Island, Willow Farm spans 353 hectares of flat, well-drained land supporting 1,250 milking cows. The entire farm is irrigated using a combination of pivots and solid set systems, ensuring optimal water management. We are currently in the process of upgrading to a 60-bail external rotary shed, which includes a range of labour-saving features designed to streamline operations. These include in-bail feeding, ADF milking clusters, electronic cup removers, Allflex collar technology and drafting gates. KT Dairying are employed as contract milkers on this farm. Kosta Gupalo is the farm manager and is supported by a team of six.
