Sheltered by the pines
Located in the centre of the Island, Harakeke Farm spans 384 hectares of well-drained land, milking 1,300 cows. The farm is fully irrigated using a combination of pivots, solid set, and K-Line systems to ensure efficient water distribution. At its centre stands a modern 70-bail internal rotary dairy shed, equipped with in-bail feeding, ADF milking clusters, electronic cup removers, Allflex-collar technology and drafting gates. KT Dairying are contract milkers at Harakeke, which is managed by Dimitri Smirnov, leading a dedicated team of six.
